All of us know that optimum nutrition is important for leading a healthy life, irrespective of the age. However, it is during the first 1000 days of life, that a baby needs whole lot of nutrition – “more so than at any other time in their life,” explains Dr.Zubeda Tumbi, at a bloggers’ meet we attended over the weekend. A nutritionist with over 28 years of experience, Dr.Tumbi can’t stop stressing over the importance of the first 1000 days of a child’s life that start at conception till the child’s second birthday. The period is incredibly deterministic as it lays the foundation for a child’s physical, mental, emotional and cognitive development in the years to come. And as harsh as it may sound, but the nutritional loss during the first 1000 days may cause permanent irreversible damage to developing brain & physical growth
Chef Ranveer Brar is my current hot fav, especially after watching this season of Masterchef India. So, when I got a chance to ask him for a special recipe for Mother’s Day, I thought to find out what he loves eating from him mom’s kitchen. After all, chef bhi kabhi bachcha tha!
And voila, he revealed that he loved Panjeeri and since it happens to be a power packed food for kids loaded with the nutrients, I couldn’t resist sharing it with you all. This one works great if your child is under weight like mine.
So, here’s the recipe of Panjeeri sprinkled with ma ka pyaar, goodness of rich ingredients and of course extra dose of Chef Ranveer’s good looks (the last ingredients is for the mommies!) 😉
One of the most common and nagging problem for me and H in the last two ears has been – blocked nose. We have spent many sleepless nights trying to ease H when she was unable to breathe due to the blocked nose. From home remedies of cold and congestion to saline water and steam, we tried almost every possible solution to treat H’s blocked nose. Since kids neither know how to breathe through their mouths nor they know how to blow out mucus, blocked nose and congestion becomes a tricky situation to deal with.
