Pampering my tired feet is my idea of ultimate relaxation. I make sure to get my dose of bliss every month with my favourite pedicurist. This Karwachauth, when I couldn’t manage a trip to my parlour, I ended up at Nailspa Experience Spa & Salon’s newest outlet. Though a little skeptical in the beginning, I was mighty pleased at the end of the experience.

The all new outlet in Lokhandwala, is the brand’s fifth outlet in Mumbai. Others located at Oshiwara, Khar, Colaba and Breach Candy. I booked an appointment and landed there almost 40 minutes late, thanks to traffic on the ever crowded lane. Despite the delay and back to back appointments, the warm staff accommodated me. Situated at the fag end of the street, the cozy outlet exudes luxury and class with interiors dipped in warm and festive hues of creme, gold, browns and reds.

Experience: On the therapist’s recommendation, I chose the Candle Therapy Pedicure for the day. Wax is known to moisturise moisturise and protect dry skin and my skin is quite dry. So, this looked like a perfect soothing recipe. Before starting the pedicure, the therapist lit two candles on the side leaving me excited to see how unique was this treatment!

After he prepped up my feet with regular cutting, filing, shaping the nails and removing the cuticles, it was time to use the candles. He blew off one of them, scooped the melted wax carefully and used it as a scrub on my feet and legs to exfoliate them. Next, he wrapped my feet in a hot towel to soothe them further. Now, it was time for some massage. The other candle came handy as a massage cream. The comforting strokes of massage done at the right pressure followed by a brightening pack, left my feet deeply moisturised and rejuvenated. The pack was removed after ten minutes and the toes were painted with nail polish of my choice. They have a huge range of nail paints (regular and gel) on offer to choose from!

Verdict: The forty-five minute long pedicure not only made my feet look pretty but relaxed too. If you too suffer from dry skin, especially during winters, the Candle Therapy pedicure is just for you. While Nailspa offers this pedicure with specialised pedicure candles, many parlours do this using paraffin wax, which also has a remarkable effect on dry skin.

Apart from a wide range of secialised nail services including manicures, pedicure, nail extensions and nail art, Nailspa Experience also offers an array of leading hair treatments and beauty services like Permanent Cosmetic Makeup and Barbie Eyelash Extension to name a few!

The Nailspa Candle Therapy treatment costs Rs.1350 + Taxes. For more details about Nailspa Experience, please visit their website.
