Do you celebrate your child’s ‘half birthdays’?

I am an enthu-cutlet when it comes to Baby H. I’m sure most of the first time parents are over zealous. From celebrating milestones and celebrating birthdays every month to planning professional photo shoots, they do just everything to cherish every moment and keep memories intact.

However, this post is not about Birthday parties, but half birthday parties! Yes, we were invited to one such half birthday party recently, where the kid was turning 2 and a half and excited parents wanted to make merry, so they threw a mid-year bash.

Even Baby H turned one and a half years old a monthย back. Though we didn’t have a half birthday bash, but we made the day memorable by making a few additions to her room.ย More on that later.

Coming back to the ‘Half Birthday trend,’ if you too are kicked up about throwing a bash on your kids’ half birthday, here are a few ideas that you can pick up…

Kids grow up really fast. Especially in the initial years. So, documenting their milestones every six months along with their hand prints is a good idea.

  3. Acknowledging half birthday makes child feel special and you don’t need am elaborate party. My grandparents did half birthday with me till I was 12 1\2 i am in sure in part because my bday falls near and sometimes on turkey day. And ask any 3-7 yr old and half will tell you i am age in a half. And 3-5 yrs olds sometimes seperate it into 2/4 and 3/4. They know their exact age some just don’t say it others will.
